From our pirates ‘doubling your money’ task to exploring symmetry in the story Aliens Love Underpants, our fun, practical approach to numeracy is something our little ones love!
Exposing children to early numeracy skills provides the building blocks for future mathematical concepts. As teachers, our aim is to make learning meaningful to children by showing them how numeracy skills are used in the world around us. Our sessions are hands on, engaging, purposeful and thought provoking which will develop both children’s understanding and problem-solving skills
Counting forwards and backwards, representing numbers to 20, measuring using resources, identifying shapes, making patterns and sequencing, matching an amount to its corresponding numeral, ordering objects and using comparative language, adding two numbers within 10, identifying what comes after a given number, exploring symmetry.
